Phil passed away peacefully in Florida on April 26, 2023 at the age of 94.
He was born May 1, 1928, son of Charles and Clara Akwa (née Rapkin). Husband to Chris and father to Charlene, Ellen, Karen (Neil Swartz) and Carla Akwa. Uncle to Sharon, Freddie, Mark, Scott, David and Alan Glazer and Iris Brackett. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Akwa.
Phil graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and loved the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.
