Sherry grew up in Odessa. She attended Ector High School where she was in the band and was a majorette. She loved playing flute and piccolo. She shared many marching band stories. She loved to twirl and would still pick up a baton every now and then.
Sherry attended South Plains College with her daughter, Jolie, where she obtained her Phlebotomy certificate. She was very competitive. She like to remind her daughter that she finished top of the class.
She raised her family in Odessa and then moved to Duncan, Oklahoma, 8 years ago with her husband Ray. She loved Oklahoma and was excited to become an Okie. She loved being at her husband's side. They shared many laughs and memories together. They loved growing
old together.
Sherry loved to tinker with all kinds of things like old clocks, electronics, crafts, jewelry, or just fixing things in general. She was the queen of Southern engineering and a fabulous cook. She loved shooting pool with her husband and became really good. Throughout her life she was a jeweler and managed a jewelry store. She managed multiple Radio Shack stores and even owned a little convenience store. Sherry was sweet, sassy, and a little spicy too. She was the most precious, caring, and giving woman. She never met a stranger. When you met, you became fast friends. She let everyone know they were loved. She always gave hugs and said I love you. Sometimes I love you was the last 3 minutes or more of your phone conversation or in a text it was followed by many hearts and hug emojis. She always had to wave bye when you were leaving. She'd wave until your car was no longer seen down the road, sometimes only to call you and tell you she loves you again. God and her family were most important to her. She will be forever missed. She touched so many lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Mitchell, of Duncan, OK; son, David Braswell of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Jolie Hendrick and wife Morgan of Lubbock, Texas; stepsons: Mark Mitchell and wife Ashley of Rosharon, Texas, Jon Mitchell and wife Sarah of Dallas, Texas; brother David Little and wife Paulette of Giddings, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other wonderful family members and friends too numerous
to mention.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy Braswell; son, Joseph Lee Roberts; and brother, Bill Little.
