GIVENS SAMUEL DEWEY ag 90 died December 1st at Mercy Hospital in Miami Florida He was born in Birming-hem Alabama January 3 1900 He was a Blue Lodge Mason and a continuous member of Car-u I ncel 296 Since Jufy 1421 He worked with HoHey Construction as a carpenter and superintendent on many of the landmark homes and buddings the Birmingham area He retired to Gulf Shores Alabama in 1969 before coming to Miami In 1985 He la survived by he eon Sam Givens Jr of Miami his daughter Mary Jo Clerk of Cottondaie Alabama grandsons Dan Givens and Mike Givens of Miami granddaughters Pam Mekras of Durham North Carolina Connie Clerk Brown of Memphis Tennessee great-grandchildren Danny and Brandy Givens of Miami Dome Cindy and Sam Mekres of Durham North Carolina and Morgann Brown of Memphis Tennessee Private services will bo held In lieu of flowers the I arm-ty suggests contributions to Prudes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund co WincSe Hychie Rte FI Boa 13600 Brook-wood AL 35444 where the burial will be held.
