Eliza Scott, daughter of Wm. and Nellie Scott, was born July 13, 1845, in Buchanan Co., Mo. Moved to Kansas in 1857. She was married to Alfred Alexander, March 27, 1862. to their union were born W. R. Alexander, of Oskaloosa, Kas., J. W. Alexander, deceased, J. H. Alexander, Winchester, Kas., A. A. Alexander, deceased, and Mrs. Nellie Ross, of Stonington, Colo.
She was a member of the Baptist Church since Jan., 1870. Age 78 years, 6 months, 23 days.
Funeral services were held at the Winchester Christian church on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Z. F. Osborn. Interment was made in the Wise cemetery.
