He was the husband of Jean (Tonks) Graham and father of Richard E. Jr., Daniel C., Ronald, Susan and Kimberly. He was a son of Edith (Patterson) Graham and the late James E. Graham. He grew up in Woburn and graduated Woburn High School in 1957.
He served in the Air Force for four years.
He worked for Transonics in Burlington for several years and most recently IBM in Waltham as a customer engineer for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He then worked for Alpha National in Texas.
