Bradford.
Mrs. Charles Bradford passed away quiet [sic] unexpectedly in Bushnell last Sunday as the result of a paralyic [sic] stroke. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Wednesday and interment was at Good Hope, where she formerly lived.
Mrs. Bradford was 65 years, 6 months and 8 days of age and was born at Good Hope on May 26, 1873. Before her marriage she was Miss Carrie Buchanan, daughter of Robert and Regina (Foresman) Buchanan. On Oct. 8, 1906, she was married to Charles Bradford of Good Hope. Most of their married life was spent at Good Hope until they located in Bushnell a few years ago. About two years ago the Bradfords took little Bobbie Preston, who had been left an orphan, into their home and hearts, adopting him and giving him the parental care and affection he deserved. He and the husband survive. Mrs. Bradford is also survived by a brother, Floyd Buchanan, and a sister, Mrs. Iva Towslee, both of Silver Creek, Nebr., and another sister, Mrs. Grace Coulton [sic], of Omaha. She had the pleasure of visiting her brothers and sisters in their homes a few months ago.
Mrs. Bradford was a member of the Methodist church and was a christian woman in the broader sense. She was a lady of splendid intelligence and kindly generous manner and those who knew her will always remember her for her pure, unselfish life of service to those about her.
