Confederate soldier-Pvt. Co D, 1st FL Inf.
Son of John Love & Catherine Douglass McKinnon. Born Walton Co., FL, maried Mary Attaway 20 Oct 1870 Jackson Co., FL, daughter of Lawrence Montgomery Attaway & Catherine Jordan Tillinghast. He served Walton Co. in the State House of Representatives in the days of Reconstruction. Later became a lawyer in Walton Co., FL.

Note: LDS website shows year of birth as 1843. Photo of grave marker shows 1842. His brother, Alexander, was born in 1842. Daniel is enumerated in the 1900 census as being born Dec 1843, so I have determined that his year of birth is 1843.
