In the winter of 1887 she moved from Kentucky to Colorado taking a homestead in this county, residing thereon until Sept., 1903, when she moved to her son-in-law’s and spent her last days on earth with Mrs. Johnston, her daughter. She was resigned to death, having no doubts as to her future. Although she enjoyed life for one of her age. yet she was anxious and ready to lay it and its burdens aside. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Morris of the M. E. church, at Konantz. He preached an instructive sermon from Job 5: 26. She is missed and mourned. The relatives of the deceased feel very grateful to the many friends and neighbors for their sympathy and help.
