Wayne was a nature lover. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and going on cruises with his family. Yard work was a favorite past time, and he loved treating his birds to special new birdseed.
Wayne was dearly loved and never met a stranger. His grandbabies were the apple of his eye and he loved spending time with them. His bowling family was also special to him, and he was on a bowling team and competed in tournaments for many years.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pat, Jr. and Gary; and sisters, Carolyne and Joanne.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Gail Anderson; son, Chris Anderson (wife, Amanda) of Cumming; step-sons, David Marcus (wife, Mercy) and Jason Marcus (wife, Amanda), both of Dallas; sister, Marion Edge of Dallas; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; beloved brother-in-law Woody Puckett; loving mother-in-law, Joyce Aaron; and many nieces, nephews, extend family, bowling family, and friends.
Funeral services honoring Wayne's life will be held Thursday, June 8, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor David Birchfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a cause that is very dear to their heart. Donations in Wayne's memory may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at https://nami.org/
