Jessie "Wayne" Anderson, age 70, of Dallas passed from this life June 4, 2023. Wayne was born in Austell to James Patrick Anderson and Frances Anderson in 1953. He grew up in the Austell area and graduated from South Cobb High School, Class of 1972.
Wayne was a nature lover. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and going on cruises with his family. Yard work was a favorite past time, and he loved treating his birds to special new birdseed.
Wayne was dearly loved and never met a stranger. His grandbabies were the apple of his eye and he loved spending time with them. His bowling family was also special to him, and he was on a bowling team and competed in tournaments for many years.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pat, Jr. and Gary; and sisters, Carolyne and Joanne.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Gail Anderson; son, Chris Anderson (wife, Amanda) of Cumming; step-sons, David Marcus (wife, Mercy) and Jason Marcus (wife, Amanda), both of Dallas; sister, Marion Edge of Dallas; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; beloved brother-in-law Woody Puckett; loving mother-in-law, Joyce Aaron; and many nieces, nephews, extend family, bowling family, and friends.
Funeral services honoring Wayne's life will be held Thursday, June 8, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor David Birchfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
