Adam R. Naugle, 69, of Fayetteville, Route 2, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Chambersburg Hospital at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home. Mr. Naugle had suffered with a heart condition for several years. He was born at South Mountain, Oct. 4, 1902, son of the late John W. and Margaret Staley Naugle. His early life was lived at South Mountain and during World War I, he served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Naugle later moved to Pittsburgh where he worked for several years at the Bethlehem Steel Company. Prior to his retirement in 1964, he was employed as a welder at the Westinghouse Electric Co. for 31 years. He and his wife, Beulah Smiley Naugle, were married in February, 1945, and had lived at the Fayetteville residence for the past four years. In addition to his widow, he is survived by these children: Mrs. Joseph Wlichnie, East Pittsburgh; John W. Naugle, Mrs. Harold Wheeler and Mrs. Clyde Holmes, all of Turtle Creek, and Russell A. Naugle, Republic. Also surviving are a step-son, Abraham Smith, Falls River, Mass., nine grandchildren, five step grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Nagle was the last of his immediate family. The interment will be in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain, Pa.
