Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Aline Boyles, 93, of Monticello, Mississippi will be on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Monticello Municipal Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Bro. Philip Alford will be officiating the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the funeral home from 1:00 PM till the start of the service.

Mrs. Boyles passed from this life on Tuesday, May 30 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 8, 1929 in Lawrence County, MS, to Shelby William Lambert and Myrtle Lee Hampton Lambert. She was the oldest member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member of Dorcas Sunday School class. Millie B. came from a musical family. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church since the age of five. She enjoyed eating her sausage patty biscuit and her time with friends at Ward's. She was a lifetime member of the 25th Infantry Division Association, a lifetime charter member of the National WWII Memorial, a lifetime member of the VFW National Children's Home, and a lifetime member of Post 4889 VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Auxiliary President, District President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Scrapbook Chairman.

She started her first job as a billing clerk at Monticello Manufacturing Company (Kellwood) making 50 cents per hour in September 1947. She quit that job and got one making 90 cents per hour in 1953. Mrs. Millie worked for several years with the Superintendent of Education's office. She began working with the United States Department of Agriculture, Stabilization, and Conservation Service in September 1960, and retired in September of 1990.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 52 years, Buren Wesley "B. W." Boyles; sister, Melba Berry; and brothers, Hollis Glenn Lambert, Shelby Grover Lambert and Shelton Wayne Lambert.

Survivors are her children, Bill Boyles, Dale Boyles, Pamela Stanley, Phyllis Kelly (Danny); grandchildren, Lori, Bill Jr., Jamie, Amanda, Euell, Chris, Stephanie, Ryan, and Chase; 20 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren and a girl on the way; one sister: Murle Neal; grand dogs Oreo and Sukie; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mildred Boyles's name to Hospice Ministries 397 Brookhaven St. Brookhaven, MS 39601.
