Mrs. Geneva Mae Allen, age 96, of Thomaston, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Riverside Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Allen was born on November 28, 1926, in Lamar County, Georgia, to the late Malcolm Parker Sr., and the late Estelle Hudgins Shelley. She worked as a retail clerk for twenty plus years at Maxwell's Department Store, and attended Clarks Chapel Baptist Church, Emorys Chapel, and Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gene "Wormy" Allen, son, Danny Allen, brothers, J.D. Parker, Artis Parker, and Levon Shelley.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila (Steve) Young of Lexington, SC, brother, Malcolm Parker Jr., sister, Jewell Pruitt, grandchildren, Kelly (Jay) Mobley, Michelle (Phillip) Huckaby, Christopher Allen, Andy (Heather) Young, great-grandchildren, Bryce Mobley, Brayleigh Mobley, Leslie Chastain, Lori (Patrick) Miles, Madison (Tyler) Piendel, Matthew Allen, Davis Young, Ruby Young, great-great-grandchildren, Harper Miles, Savannah Miles, Olivia Piendel.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
