Visitation will be held on Monday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
Mrs. Allison passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Fairfield Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born in La Salle, TX in Limestone County, on January 23, 1931. She grew up in La Salle and married Caluph Allison on July 27, 1946, and shared over sixty-one years of marriage together until being separated by his death in February 2008. She gave birth to seven children and helped raise many, many more. She always had an open home to help any children in need. Billie enjoyed riding horses in her youth and later in life enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, but her favorite thing was spending time with her family, extended family and friends. Mrs. Allison suffered hearing loss the past twenty years but still enjoyed being with her family and having gatherings. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by five children, Allen Allison, Dale Allison, Vikki Williams, Dawn Wetterman & husband James, and Cal Allison & wife LaJean all of Freestone; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Jackson of Tomball and Gynell Humphries of Mexia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Caluph Allison; one daughter, Jeanie Johnson; one infant daughter, Terry Sue Allison; one great-grandson, Caluph Wayne Allison; and two brothers, Troy Tacker and Jimmy Tacker.
