Harvey Emerson Metcalf, 86, of 73 Carrier Street, Asheville, N.C., died Saturday, October 20,1990 in an Asheville hospital.
A native of Madison County, N.C., he had lived in Buncombe County since 1920. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and attended Community Chapel Church. He was a member of John A. Nichols Masonic Lodge No. 650. He was a son of the late John Franklin Metcalf and Georgia Anna Ferguson Metcalf.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 1990 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Hills Cemetery with rites by John A. Nichols Masonic Lodge No. 650.
