Love--Clegg.

At the home of the bride's father, Mr. H. C. Clegg, four miles south of Pittsboro, N. C., this morning at 8 o'clock, Miss Cornelia Clegg was married to Rev. F. Swindell Love, pastor of the M. E. church of Morehead City, N. C. The ceremony was performed by Dr. H. K. Boyer of Charlotte, assisted by Rev. V. A. Royall of Pittsboro. It was a quiet wedding, attended by relatives of the families.

Mr. J. W. Love of Monroe, N. C., brother of the groom, and Miss Mary Clegg, cousin of the bride, were the visitors from a distance present.

The bride is a graduate of Greensboro Female College, graduating at the head of her class. She is alumnae of Scorritt Bible and Training School of Kansas City, Mo. She spent a year teaching in the city schools at Greensboro. Miss Clegg has always been noted for her devotion to missionary work.

The groom is a native of Union county, N. C. Graduated at Trinity College in 1908. Took his master's degree in Columbia University of New York City in 1908. Since then has had charge of churches at Kinston and Morehead City.

Death of Mrs. Swindell Love.

Mrs. Cornelia Love, wife of Rev. Swindell Love, died in Charlotte at ten o'clock Sunday night. She had been in the hospital for seven weeks and had been operated on three times. The remains were brought to Monroe at six o'clock yesterday afternoon and taken to the residence of Mr. W. B. Love. The funeral was held at Central methodist church at noon today by Rev. Dr. Hall, presiding elder of the Rockingham District; Rev. Mr. Bumpas, pastor of the Lauringburg church, and Rev. Mr. Underwood, presiding elder of the Raleigh district. The flowers were profuse. A large number of visitors were present, especially from Aberdeen.

Mrs. Love was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Clegg of Pittsboro, who survive her. She was married to Mr. Love about six years ago. She and her husband spent two years in educational and missionary work in Brazil, after which they returned home and resumed work in the North Carolina Conference. Mr. Love is now pastor of the Page Memorial church at Aberdeen. Two little girls, Cornelia and Mary Harvey, survive their mother. She was thirty-three years of age, and her death has been a great shock to her relatives and friends.
