Mrs. George Bush Are Called.
Death came to claim Mrs. George Bush at her home west of town Tuesday, after an attack of pneumonia, from which it was thought she was recovering.
Etta C. Lawson was born at Belfry, Ohio, June 25, 1862, and die at Princeville, Illinois, October 14, 1924, aged 62 years, 3 months and 20 days.
She was married to George Bush January 16, 1877. To this union were born four children: Joseph, who died at the age of three years; Rosa E. Mendenhall of Brimfield; Mrs. Myrtle M. Forney, who passed away May 20, 1909.
Those of immediate family who mourn her departure, are the bereaved husband and daughters, mentioned, Oney Ripley of Fairmont, North Dakota; Frank Ripley of Bloomington; her sister Mrs. Florence Mears of Chenoa; John and Ray Ripley of Chenoa; Mrs. Joseph Bush of Peoria. There are also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She joined the Princeville M.E. church during the successful pastorate of Rev. Alexander Smith. She later lived a life of true devotion to her home, family, community and church. Her last thoughts were of God and her future home. She spoke of John 3:16 as the basis of Christian faith. She has respect and love of a wide circle of friends and neighbors, having lived most of her life in the Princeville community.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church this afternoon, conducted by Rev. James T. Bliss and interment took place in Princeville cemetery.
