M. Aanerud Dies Sunday in California
Funeral servics were held today (Wednesday) in San Jose, Calif., for Mrs. W. R. Aanerud, long time resident of the Lemmon community. Mrs. Aanerud died Sunday morning at a hospital in that city. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. J.B. Well of Lemmon has been assisting in the care of her sister in law since September.
Marjorie Well was born Dec. 17, 1911 at Meadow, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Well, pioneers of the area. She grew to young womanhood and received her education in this community, graduating from Lemmon high school with the class of 1930.
On Sept 17, 1930, she was married at Bison to Walter R. Aanerud. They established their home here and farmed in the area until 1937 when they moved to Seattle, Wash. For the next 20 years they lived on the west coast and in 1957 they moved to Phoenix, Ariz. There Mrs. Aanerud entered a practical nursing school, completed the course and worked in a Phoenix hospital. They moved to San Jose in 1962 where they have since made their home.
Surviving relatives include her husband: a son, Charles Aanerud of Seattle, Wash; a daughter, Della Sweet of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Henry Well of Elgin and several nieces and nephews.
