Kepford, John was born in Cumberland County, Penn. in 1834 and died in Noble County, March 23, 1908, aged 74 years, 2 months and 21 days. He moved to Ohio with his parents in what was known as the Black Swamp in 1836. They then moved to Michigan and in March 1847 they moved to Indiana and located on the farm where he has since lived. He married Olive B. Bonar April 20, 1862. They had 2 sons and one daughter, the latter having preceded them in infancy. He was a member of the Christian Church at Merriam. His last words were, "Thank God, boys, I'm going home." He leaves 2 sons, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 granddaughters. Services were at Merriam March 25. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. > 4-1-1908
