Doris Buhler Hensler, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend, left us on March 21, 2008 at the age of 83.

Doris was born, April 24, 1924 in Kaysville, Utah to Walter and Wilma Witt Buhler. She grew up in Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School. She married Howard Barkdull on September 28, 1946. Later divorced. Married George Hensler on June 29, 1955 and moved to Salt Lake City. They were later divorced.

She worked in several businesses throughout her life, and finally retired from the Neighborhood House in 2007, after working there for 16 years. That job was the best times she had throughout her working career. She loved working with all of the children and co-workers. Doris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving the past 20 years as the ward music coordinator. She loved going to the temple and attending church with her friends. Most of all, Doris loved her family and was always giving to them and never missed a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. Her happiest times were the times spent with her family and her friends. She always looked forward to spending time with her singles group.

Doris is survived by her son, Gail (Suzette) Barkdull, daughter, Patricia (Fred) Easter, sister, Norma (LaVance) Nelson, brothers, Russell (Beulah) Buhler, Verle (Joyce) Buhler, and Glen (Colleen) Buhler. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Doyle Buhler.
