Richard Roy Andrews, Sr., 65, of Olla, passed away on January 21, 2022, at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport.
He was born on October 20, 1956 in Jena to the union of Louie Ray Andrews and Paula Jean Cupples Andrews.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Life Church LaSalle in Trout with Rev. Steve Cripps officiating and Ricky Andrews delivering his father's eulogy.
Interment will follow at the Olla Cemetery in Olla under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, an avid fisherman, and loved deer hunting. He was loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are his beloved wife, Melanie Gaspard Andrews of Olla; three sons, Richard Roy "Ricky" Andrews, Jr. and wife Natalie of Columbia, Daylan Andrews and wife, Mahaley, of Olla, and Kevin Andrews and wife, Brittany, of Olla; his mother, Paula Jean Andrews; two brothers, Terry Ray Andrews and Bobby Andrews, both of Jena; his sister, Sherri Lynn Posey and husband, Chuck, of Jena; and eight grandchildren, Easton Andrews, Carson Andrews, Paxton Andrews, Annabelle Andrews, Clara Andrews, Lettie Rae Andrews, Daisy Lee Andrews, and Conley James Andrews.
