Ann Spackman Swenson, 77, passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on September 6, 2003 in Cedar Hills, Utah.

Ann was born July 27, 1926 in Lewiston, Utah, the oldest of three daughters of Rulon and Edith Spackman. She and her sisters learned the value of hard work on the family farm. She graduated from North Cache High School where she was involved in drama, orchestra, and cheerleading. Following graduation she moved to Logan and met Dale Lee Swenson and they were sealed in the Logan Temple on April 16, 1946. They built a home and raised three children, Madalyn, Lee, and Brad, in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake. Lifelong bonds of friendship were forged with their neighbors in the Kenwood Ward. Ann served for many years with the Young Women and was a true and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dale and Ann later moved to St. George and made many new friends in Dixie. She retired after working 17 years in a program with low-income families for Utah State University Extension Service. She enjoyed art, handiwork, reading, and had recently taken up quilting. Ann was always grateful for her many blessings and her sparkling laugh could brighten any day. She deeply loved Dale, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their families.

She was survived by her children, Madalyn Swenson Backlund (John), Dale Lee Swenson, Jr. (Kathy), Bradford Lynn Swenson (Lorna); 13 grandchildren; five great-grand-children; two sisters Ruth Layne (Bud) and Nola Holliday. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dale.

Funeral Services were held at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 13th 2003 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel located at 3401 South Highland Drive in Holladay, Utah. Family and Friends attended a Viewing on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Monday one hour prior to the Service.
Ann was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at the Wastach Lawn Memorial Park.
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE ANN.
