The funeral for Thelma Watson Blalock, 79, of 6809 Burlington Rd., who died Monday, March 17, 2008, in Person Memorial Hospital will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, in Clement Baptist Church by the Rev. Lewis Wall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Blalock was a native of Caswell County, the daughter of the late Joe and Maggie Averette Watson. She was married to the late Boyce Blalock. Her late siblings were Kelly Watson, Clarence Watson, Floyd Watson, Melvin Watson, Ruth Thomas, Vera Johnson, Pauline Patillo and Nell Brown.
She was retired from Eaton Corp., and she was a member of Clement Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Linwood Thomas Blalock and wife, Shirley, of Durham; a daughter Mary B. Rogers, and husband, David, of Hurdle Mills; four grandchildren, Kimberly Rogers, Justin Rogers, Brian Blalock, Christy B. Coghill, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, March 19, at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 370 Hassell Horton Rd., Hurdle Mills.
