Lorraine Laura Burton, 87, of Amarillo died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.
Lorraine was born Sept. 15, 1920, to Samuel and Roberta Albright in Vera. Lorraine worked for the American Quarter Horse Association as a registration clerk for many years. She loved flowers and loved to crochet. She was also very active at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Burton; and a brother, Sam Albright.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Burton of Lubbock and Robert Burton and wife Brigitte of Bedford, N.H.; four grandchildren, Sean, Valerie, Brian and Stephanie and their spouses; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Oliver Albright and wife Mary Lou; and other family and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 316 Valley Ave., Amarillo, TX 79108.
