Charles Ray Young
Valdese, N.C. - Mr. Charles Ray Young, 62, of Valdese, died suddenly Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.
Mr. Young was born Dec. 25, 1945, in Hampton County, Va., to the late Avery Young Jr. and Rachel Willis Young.
He was employed as a district manager of Isaac Enterprises. Charles was a faithful member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sherrill Young.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Thornberry Young of the home; a son, Patrick Charles Young and wife, Jill, of Marion; and three stepsons, Danny Morris, David Morris and wife, Monica, all of Marion and Dennis Morris of Conover. Also surviving are his grandson, Daniel Young, and four stepgrandchildren, Amy and Beth Morris and Tequila Queen and Selita Lowman.
The funeral service for Charles Ray Young will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, at Catawba Valley Baptist Church, with the Revs. Dr. Mike Odom, Jeff Beach and Clyde Buckner officiating.
Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
