STERLING (Newaygo) - Norma Jean Sterling, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2005 at her home. She retired from General Motors and was always doing as much for others as she could possibly do. She is dancing barefoot on the streets of heaven because she no longer has to wear shoes. She is survived by her loving children, Pamela Chapman, Dennis Chapman, Tim and Brenda Chapman, Terri and Terry Green, Robin Chapman, Tony Chapman and his fiancee, Hulisa; grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Paul, Sarah, Chuck, Cory, Grace and Noah; sisters, Bev and Gene Weatherwax, Jan and Don Hardy; brothers, Neil Tawney, Vance and Sue Tawney, Lee and Jesse Tawney, Roger and Lois Tawney; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Young officiating. Interment in Algoma Township Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the Funeral Home on Sunday 7 to 9 and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Red Cross or Feed the Children. Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home, Sparta.
