Mrs. Elizabeth Frances Helms, wife of Hosea Helms, died at her home in north Goose Creek township Wednesday night at 9 45 o'clock. She had been in declining health since the first of the year and gradually grew worse until death came. She was 74 years of age. She is survived by her husband, six sons and two daughters, B.B. Helms of Kannapolis, T.L., J.G., R.B. and G.C. Helms, of Goose Creek, and H.T. Helms, of Concord are the sons, and the daughters are Mrs. Hugh Austin and Mrs. I.D. Crowell, of Goose Creek township. Mrs. Helms was a daughter of the late J.C. Mullis. A brother, B.A. Mullis of Charlotte, and a sister, Mrs. Marshall Williams, of Indian Trail, also survive. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock by elder Walter Edwards and Elder Henry Taylor and the remains were interred in the cemetery at Emanuel church.
