Robert G. "Bob" Schneider, age 81 of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on January 10, 1942. He met the love of his life, Linda Welsch and they were married in 1963 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. Together, they moved to Janesville, WI, where they would raise their three children. Bob worked at General Motors in Janesville for 35 years until retirement. After retirement, he and his wife Linda moved back to Prairie du Chien where they enjoyed being close to their children and grandchildren. Bob loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, their children and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating, with inurnment in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
