Mildred Maxine Godbey, 89, of Mineola, TX passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, in Tyler, TX. She was born on July 26, 1931, in Mineola, TX to the late Robert Alvin Blalock and Marguret Blanche Edwards Blalock. Mrs. Godbey was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women (UMW). She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ray Godbey. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Clark of Mineola, TX; a son, Craig Godbey of Mineola, TX; two grandsons, Harley Clark and Forrest Clark; three great-grandchildren; Abigail, Landon, and Hadley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Smith Chapel UMC with the Rev. Jim Pickens officiating. Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas or Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.
