Keith Zellers passed away peacefully November 22, 2022, at Serenity Home and

Hospice in Oregon. Born May 31, 1936, to Floyd and Ella (Johnson) Zellers in Leaf

River. Attended Leaf River schools and after graduating from High School he

served in the U.S. Air Force. Work history, employed at JL Clark in Rockford, then

joined the Local 150 Operating Engineers and spent the next 31 years as a heavy

equipment operator at Rockford Blacktop Construction. In his spare time during

retirement, he enjoyed taking his John Deere 820 which he restored to parades

and tractor shows, also operated a chainsaw blade shopping business in his shop,

member of the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge. Married Carol Dollinger, Hosier on

October 14, 1977, she predeceased him on September 7, 2014. Survivors include:

Son Tony Zeller, Daughter Kim (Hector) Serna, Brother in-law Ronald Kuntzelman,

and several nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by parents, brothers: Walter,

Robert, Royal, Donald, Laverne, sisters: Florence Schreiber, and Doris Kuntzelman,

and grandson: Tyler McCaslin.

A celebration of life will be held on December 2, 2022, from 4pm until 8pm at the

Mt. Morris Moose Lodge, a brief service will be held at 4:30pm. Burial will be at a

later date at the SilverCreek Cemetery in Leaf River. Family wishes to thank

Serenity Home and Hospice for their wonderful care.
