Edna Missouri Justus Baldwin Flowers, 89, of Vinton, passed away Wednesday night, March 19, 2008. She was born July 10, 1918 in Hurley, Va., Buchanan County, the daughter of the late Alvis and Mary Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Earl Baldwin; two sons, Eugene B. Flowers and Willie E. Flowers Jr.; grandson, Ronnie Baldwin; seven brothers and sisters. She was retired from the Roanoke County School System. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Willie Edward Flowers, of Vinton; two sons, John C. Baldwin, of Salem, and James Edward Baldwin and his wife, Nancy, of Roanoke; daughter, Sophia B. Moticha, of Salem; grandson, Jerry Baldwin; three great-grandchildren; Aaron, Joshua and Zachary Baldwin; great-greatgranddaughter, Alexia Reynolds; cousin, Pricie Lampkin, of Little Rock, Ark.; niece, Sharon Powers, of Fairfax, Va.; special friend, Pauline Williams, of Vinton; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
