Originally buried in Wesleyan Cemetery in Block 3, Lot 46 - which belonged to MIssouri Lodge #1 AF &AM (Masonic). Grave was moved in 1952. Spouse (Edith Davis) was also buried in Wesleyan Cemetery in 1908. Cemetery burial records from 4/3/1899 thru 12/29/1913 did not survive. Block 3, Lot 2 was purchased by son Walter D. Acuff, but Wesleyan records indicate no remains were found to move when that plot was excavated.

Original marker from plot in Wesleyan Cemetery. Part of row of Mason headstones that is now interrupted by a large tree. The Mason graves were originally moved to row 1 in 1952, then moved again to row 6 in 1954 due to highway construction.
