 Barbara Alford Holland 86, of Wake Forest died Monday May 22,2023.

She is survived by her son, Ken Holland (Jean) and daughter Sue Page both of Angier and her daughter Beth Horton ( Randall) of Wake Forest, 7 grandchildren, Eddie, Brian, Randy, Crystal, Chris, Jennifer and Will; 8 great grandchildren, Brayden, Jaxon, Kailani, Brinley, Colby, Kaleb, Charlie, Riley and her newest Kenny, and 2 grand doggies, Odis and Luna. She also held a special bond with her nieces Donna and Elizabeth.

She is predeceased by her parents, Roscoe and Kitty Alford of Rocky Mount and her sister Kay Rowland of Wake Forest.

Barbara was a long time member of Wake Forest Methodist Church where she was active in her service to her Lord and was once awarded the Lydia Lowry Award. Her mission trips to Haiti were some of her most cherished accomplishments.

Barbara's passion in life were her children and grand children , church activities, sewing, and going to see the Oak Ridge Boys when ever possible. She loved to travel as well and made several mission trips to Haiti. She, her mother and sister Kay traveled to the Holy Land numerous times. She and Beth completed her bucket list with a trip to Alaska.

Funeral services will be held at Wake Forest United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Hephzibah Baptist Church in Wendell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church in her memory, St Jude or to Traditions Hospice.
