The community of Annville was plunged into sorrow this morning by the death of Richard Lawrence Kreider, the thirteen-year-old son of A. R. Kreider, a member of the Kreider firm which operates the knitting factory at Sixth and Willow Streets, this city. The lad was taken ill a week ago and the malady speedily developed into typhoid fever. Despite the best nursing and medical attention the boy passed away at an early hour this morning. Richard was an attendant of Mrs. Barnhart's ninth grade school. He was unusually bright, and being endowed with a cheerful disposition and many other traits of heart, and mind which endeared him to the young folks as well as the older people of the community, the sorrow of the grief stricken parents is shared by the entire community. Besides the parents, the boy leaves an older brother, Andrew James, and three younger brothers, Stanley Bertram, Fred Stewart, and Thomas. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the house.
