Nina Lea Quick, born on July 9th, 1934, in Chewey, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on October 28, 2022. She was the beloved youngest sibling of five, born to Everette H. Lingle and Eva (Ballew) Lingle. Growing up, her siblings affectionately called her Nancy Jane.

On January 29th, 1954, Nina married Richard K. Quick, and together they built a beautiful life. They were blessed with two sons, Tip and Rick Quick.

For approximately 12 years, Richard and Nina operated the Watts Conoco Station, where Nina's strong work ethic shone through in everything she did. Whether it was assisting Richard in picking polk, cutting wood, or any other task that needed attention, Nina approached it with dedication and determination. She even shared the occasional Coon hunting adventure with Richard.

Nina's dedication to hard work extended beyond their business endeavors. She devoted 20 years of her life to serving at Watts School, where she made lasting connections with the children and cherished the friendships she formed. Nina's nurturing nature was evident in how she lovingly provided meals for "her kids" during her time there.

A passionate gardener, Nina found solace and joy in tending to her flowers. During her years on the farm, she transformed her yard into a breathtaking flower park. In 1993, she relocated to West Siloam to be closer to her sister, Willie. There, she continued her green thumb legacy by planting flowers around her trailer and diligently maintaining her yard. Her beautiful flowers became a source of inspiration and a sought-after gift for those who admired her gardening skills.

Nina possessed an unwavering commitment to maintaining a clean and cozy home. She took great pride in arranging furniture, pictures, and cherished items. Her house was adorned with a collection of ceramic pots and animals crafted by her mother many years ago. When visitors arrived, she would playfully remark, "I need to clean this nasty house," even though not a speck of dust or anything out of place could be found.

As a doting grandmother, Nina lovingly cared for and cherished her grandchildren, often allowing them liberties her own children never experienced. She created cherished memories and delighted in the affectionate hugs and kisses from her beloved grandchildren. Nina had a genuine passion for embracing others and was known for her warm and comforting hugs.

In her later years, when Nina required assistance, she moved back to Watts to live with her son, Tip, and her caring daughter-in-law, Genevieve. She found immense joy in spending time with her two grandchildren, Ethan and Lydia, relishing in their presence and the love they shared. Her family was a constant source of support and comfort during this period of her life.

Nina is preceded in death by her loving parents and siblings. She leaves behind a devoted and adoring family, including her two sons, Tip and his wife Genevieve of Watts, OK, and Rick and his wife Pam of Broken Arrow, OK. Her legacy continues through her eight cherished grandchildren: Shawna Conner, Bradley Quick, Keith and Kyle Allen, Zachariah Quick, Ladeana Dyer, Lynsey Wilson, and Patrick Quick. Additionally, she is survived by a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Nina Lea Quick will forever be remembered for her unwavering work ethic, her green thumb, her warm and loving embrace, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
