Santos C. Almanzar, 65, of South Amboy, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Dominican Republic.
Santos was born in Santiago-Rodriguez, Dominican Republic, to the late Ramon and Rosa Almanzar. Santos and his family immigrated to the United States in 1974 and settled down in Perth Amboy for many years. Santos graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1978. Santos worked as a truck driver for over 30 years before retiring in 2018.
In his free time, Santos enjoyed taking day trips to various parks, spending time with his grandchildren, and he loved connecting with friends and family. Santos was extremely hardworking, organized, and he gave the best advice.
Santos is preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Rosa Almanzar, and sister Ana Almanzar. He is survived by his loving children, Lesly Almanzar, Alvin Almanzar and Julio-Cesar Almanzar; three siblings: Marina Rodriguez, Bernando Almanzar and Merido Almanzar, and his six grandchildren.
Visitation will take place in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ with a prayer service being offered at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 380 Smith St, Perth Amboy, NJ. Entombment to follow in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ.
