LAYTON -Ruth La Dean Buck Love passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home in Layton from systematic sclerosis.

Ruth was born in Ogden, Utah September 19, 1940, the daughter of Ernest Lisle and Ellenore Anonda Buck. She married John Toone Love on July 3, 1957, their marriage was later solemnized in the Latter-Day Saints temple in 2007. They lived in Layton, Utah where they raised their four children.

Ruth worked outside the home at Gibby floral in Farmington, Fram at the Clearfield Freeport Center and at Hill Air Force Base.

Ruth loved music and art. She went on to take sculpture classes. But she created magnificent creations for the Festival of Trees for many years.

To know Ruth was to know love, compassion for others, grace, humility and unconditional love for her family and friends. Ruth used these strengths to teach those around her these virtues and how to enjoy life.

She was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate John Toone Love, parents, two brothers and two sisters, and a great-granddaughter. He is survived by her son Hugh (Karlene) Love, Preston, ID; John W. (Diane) Love, Layton; Sheila (Lon) Stark, Clearfield, UT; and Dan R Love, Layton, UT 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and brother David Buck, Willard UT.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
