She married Charles Henry Hoak on December 24, 1946 in Luray, Page County, Virginia.∼Evelyn Catherine Hoak, 80, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at MontVue Nursing Home.
She was born on July 17, 1922, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Clay and Polly Stroupe Campbell.
Mrs. Hoak was a homemaker.
On Dec. 24, 1946, she married Charles Henry Hoak, who died on May 2, 2002.
She is survived by a son, Jerry W. Hoak of Stanley; two sisters, Jean Hopkins of Harrisonburg, and Thelma V. Smith of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William Campbell.
A funeral service was conducted on Friday, June 27, at the Mill Creek Bible Church by John Boyd.
Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery
