Evelyn is the daughter of Clay & Polly (Stroupe) Campbell. She married Carroll William "Sonny" Foltz on January 17, 1940 in Page County, Virginia. She married Charles Henry Hoak on December 24, 1946 in Luray, Page County, Virginia.Evelyn Catherine Hoak, 80, of Stanley, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at MontVue Nursing Home.

She was born on July 17, 1922, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Clay and Polly Stroupe Campbell.

Mrs. Hoak was a homemaker.

On Dec. 24, 1946, she married Charles Henry Hoak, who died on May 2, 2002.

She is survived by a son, Jerry W. Hoak of Stanley; two sisters, Jean Hopkins of Harrisonburg, and Thelma V. Smith of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William Campbell.

A funeral service was conducted on Friday, June 27, at the Mill Creek Bible Church by John Boyd.
Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery
