Bishop Hudson passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at his home in Conway, SC. He was born in
Erwin, NC a son of the late Griffin Hudson and Dora Rayal Hudson. Bishop Hudson was a retired bishop with the Church of God. He was a member of Conway Church of God for over 63 years and was a former pastor of the Loris Church of God, Aynor Church of God, Clyde Church of God and North Myrtle Beach Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Lucy V. Martin Hudson, three brothers Clem, James and Murman Hudson; two sisters Leona Mae Hudson and Minnie Irene Mackey and one son Deon Hudson.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years Margaret L. Hudson of Conway, SC, one son Jimmie E. Hudson (Gina Lee) of Socastee, SC, one daughter, Angela Hudson Neal (Blair) of Hartsville, SC, four grandchildren, Joshua R. Hudson, Nicole D. Hudson Sanford, Jeremy Neal, and Christan Neal, five great grandchildren, and two brothers, Griffin Hudson of Surfside Beach and Charles Hudson of Socastee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 31, 2023 at Conway Church of God with Bishop Stuart Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Friday at the church.
