Born February 22, 1915 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, a son of Louis E. Ballamis and Mabel Terese Pederson. His mother died when he was a child and he was raised by his father and stepmother, Gladys Pederson Ballamis. On January 14, 1943, he married Faustine Pollock in Union, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ernest lived in Bingham until World War II, where he served in the Field Artillery in the China, Burma and India Theatre of war. He worked for Kennecott for 42 years and eight months. A High Priest in the Mount Jordan 1st Ward, he has served in the Elders Quorum Presidency, as merit badge counselor, supervisor of ward storage program and was in charge of Temple Project classes.He was a very loving, caring person and he will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 1992, 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Jordan 1st LDS Ward Chapel 8950 So. 400 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
