Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Bailey Alexander will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, R.P. Bailey and Maureen Gray Bailey Sims; her husband, J.R. Alexander; son, Victor Blaine McBurnett; and grandson, Kevin Lamar McBurnett; brothers, Wayne Bailey, Clarence Sims, Jr.; and sisters in law, Kathleen Bailey, Judy Sims, and Doris Sims.

She leaves behind her children, Debbie Starling (Gary), Lorri Riley (Mark), and Hope Osteen (Mike), and William "Billy" Alexander; grandchildren, Jordan (Leo) Gutierez, Austin Osteen, Chrissy Ulbirch (Travis), Wayne Martin, Mason Chancellor (Cassidy), Sadie Ulbrich, Lydia Ulbrich, Zack Ulbrich, and Trenton Martin; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Claudette Wagnon (Billy Joe), Rovene Epperson (Bud), Sheila Champan (Ricky) and Ramona Guthrie; brother, W.O. Sims; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Alexander was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. She loved flowers and going to yard sales.

Pallbearers will be Mason Chancellor, Trenton Martin, Travis Ulbrich, and Lee Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Riley, Gary Starling, and Mike Osteen.
