Agnes was the youngest child of Thomas & Annie (Farrell) Donahue. Her father had a small grocery store in the East Newark section of Harrison, NJ, where she was born at 39 Hebden Street. Her mother, who had been of poor health for a while, died at the age of 39 when Agnes was just under 7 years of age. Her father died in 1890, at the age of 68, when Agnes was 10 years old. She remained at home and was raised by her older siblings, Thomas, Mary, Anna, and Julia.
On 14 April 1909, Agnes was married to Timothy W. Dolan in Hackettstown, NJ where Timothy was a resident. Her husband was the proprietor of a Billiard Room in Hackettstown where they made their home. The 1910 U.S. Federal Census reveals to us that this was the first marriage for each of them and that they had only been married for one year, but Agnes had already borne two children, both of whom were deceased. Agnes herself died in the year 1910 at the age of 29. Her husband remained a widower after her death. (msa)

"The death of Mrs. Timothy Dolan at her home on Liberty street on Christmas eve, was sudden and sad. It followed child birth. Mrs. Dolan was formerly Miss Agnes Donohue, of Harrison, N.J. and her marriage to Mr. Dolan occurred in April, 1909. The funeral services were held from St. Mary's church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, with interment in Union Cemetery. Four sisters beside her husband survive." Added 14 Apr 2021. (msa)
