After high school, he had a wonderful life with Arrowhead West in Medicine Lodge, KS. Don thrived at AHW, and he contributed greatly to the Medicine Lodge community through his numerous jobs and volunteer activities. He was active in a variety of sports through Special Olympics for many years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Marieda Goetz; two of his sisters, Marie Ann Goetz and Jane Allen; and his brother, James Goetz. He is survived by his siblings: Charlette (Jerry) Knotts and Jerry (Linda) Goetz, all of Augusta, KS; Louise Regan of Salina, KS; Joyce (Rick) Linebarger of Goddard, KS; Ralph Goetz of Hutchinson, KS; Sandra (Dan) Gadberry of Little River, KS; Susan Lewis of Moultrie, GA; and Denise (Tim) Thielen of Wichita; along with 18 nieces and nephews; 21 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew.
Services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 10044 SW 90th St., Willowdale, KS, on Saturday,May 20. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial following at the Willowdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m., Friday, May 19, at Livingston's Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main St., Kingman, KS.
