Mary Lucille Lightsey, 100, of Paint Rock, TX passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 20, 1922 in Milam County, TX to Joseph Underwood Adams and Iris Jewell (Smith) Adams.

Mary married the love of her life Earl Lightsey on April 22, 1944, they were married until his passing on May 1, 2011.

She was a loving housewife who loved to take care of her family.

Some of her favorite hobbies were crochet, gardening and singing.

Her siblings include Sam H. Adams, Lola Adams Newton, Ruby Adams Dyer, Lorene Adams Hammons, Joseph Henry Adams, Thelma Jean Adams Pegues, and Luther Allen Adams; she was blessed with two children, Robert Earl Lightsey and wife Oralia Lightsey and Ruth Elyese Fazard and husband Tom Fazard; she was also blessed with four grandchildren, Jennifer Wiley Kim, Carl Kim, Michael Alan Wiley, and Jasmine Kalan Wiley; she also had 1 great grandson, Tyler Kim.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson's Funeral Home with interment to follow in Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Giovanni Galindo, Sherrill Barina, Dave Adams, Carlton Barina, Emmitt Barina and Carl Kim.

The family would like to thank High Plains Senior Care Hospice Staff especially Sherry, Britni Buchanan, and Kristen Cooper.
