He was born February 15, 1941, in Washburn, WI, son of Clarence and Ann (McCutcheon) Eliason.
On August 17, 1968, in Washburn, Linda B. Holman and LeRoy C. Eliason were united in marriage.
LeRoy retired in 2010 from Jeff Foster Trucking, where he worked many years as an over-the-road driver.
Some of his interests included woodturning, reading old western books and watching old western TV shows and movies, hunting, traveling with Linda, playing cribbage with his son Mark, admiring his son Darin's craftsmanship and carpentry, and attending his grandsons' sporting events.
LeRoy was a longtime member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior, where he sang in the choir for many years and served faithfully on the property management committee.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Leonard.
Survivors include his wife of over 53 years, Linda; sons, Mark Eliason, Madison, WI, and Darin (Chris) Eliason, Maple, WI; grandsons, Devin and Trevor Eliason; sisters, Karen (Ron) Harrington, Bend, OR, Janice Bergst, Ashland, WI, and Cheryl (Mark) Orgeron, Quartzsite, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday, January 14, 2022, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Gary Banker officiating. Due to ongoing Covid-19 concerns, face masks are encouraged. Reception to be held after the service at Vintage Italian Pizza, 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Washburn, at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or Solvay Hospice House.
