Edgar J. Costello, 37, a native of Oswego and a petty officer first class, US Navy, died unexpectedly Thursday in Bermuda where he was stationed as a data processing specialist.

The career Navy man was the son of Thomas and Helen Shannon Costello, formerly of this city and now of Clarks-Summit, Pa. He attended local schools and Clarks Summit High School.Edgar J. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth; two sons, Richard and Mark; and two brothers, Thomas R. Jr., of Lakewood, Colo., and James of Clarks Summit. Services will be Tuesday with burial in Gettysburg National Cemetery (not correct).
