Nanny b 1852, John b 1856, Ann b 1857, William b 1860, James b 1862, Edwin b 1865, and Susan Jane b 1870.
In 1869, her husband fell down a shaft while at work and was killed. At the time Jemima was pregnant with their daughter Susan, and had 5 young children to care for. She was left destitute and couldn't afford flour to make bread for the children to eat and so some local men did some fundraising and raised £6 for her.
