Geraldine "Gerry" Rettenbach
Geraldine "Gerry" Rettenbach passed away Sunday evening, March 16, 2008, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was 75 years old. Gerry was born on September 14, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Jerome and Adeline (Walenty) Bachorz. On September 6, 1952, she married Jack Rettenbach in Justice, Illinois. Gerry worked several years as a nursery schoolteacher, something she loved dearly. She retired in 1987, when she and Jack moved from Chicago to Isabella, Mo. They fell in love with the Bull Shoals Lake area and have truly enjoyed their time spent here. Gerry and Jack are members of the Faith Lutheran Church in Isabella and have taken on a vital role in the congregation. Gerry made many friends during the 20 plus years she spent here, and all who knew her will greatly miss her. Mrs. Rettenbach is survived by her husband Jack of the home, one godson Steven Rehnberg of Flowery Branch, Ga., one goddaughter Debbie Nicosia of Hickory Hills, Il., brother Thomas Bachorz, and nephew T.J. Bachorz both of Channahon, Il. Preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Adeline Bachorz. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 @ 10 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Isabella, Missouri with Dana Wilke officiating. Burial will be at Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008, from 5-7 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville.
