Mother of Mrs. Clara Giese and Mrs. Ida Wiegert; also survived by 2 sons-in-law and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m., from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Interment: Zuh Ruhe Cemetery.
In state at the Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton – Friday, at 2 p.m., until Saturday at 10 a.m., at the church until time of services.

Cedarburg News – March 19,1941
KESSEL, MRS. HELEN ANNA
A resident of this city the past 12 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Giese in town of Cedarburg last Wednesday evening.
She was born in Germany on May 5, 1867. She attended school there and at the age of 21, moved with her parents to this country. The family settled near Random Lake.
In 1889, she married Peter Kessel. They moved to Newburg where they resided forty years; then took residence in Port Washington for several years and for the past 12 years made their home in Cedarburg.
Mrs. Kessel took ill on October 31, 1940. For the past three months she had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Clara Giese in town Cedarburg. Mr. Kessel died ten years ago.
Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Ida Wiegert of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Clara Giese. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church; Rev. W. H. Behrens of Thiensville officiated. Interment in Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.
