He was born in Resaca, GA to his late parents, Boyd H. and Janie Gertrude Cagle, and lived most of his life in the Murray County area. He was of the Baptist faith. Lee greatly enjoyed the outside, especially the lake and camping. He loved to spend his free time with his family and friends. Lee was known as a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd H. and Janie Gertrude Cagle; brothers, Jesse W. Cagle and Willard H. Cagle; sisters, Ruby Lee Southerland and Bertie Johnson Anderson; loving friend, Margrett Slaton.
Survivors include his sister; Goldie Mashburn; brother, Marvin L. Cagle; children and spouses, Terry and Kelly Cagle, Ted and Lee Ann Cagle, Teresa and Denton Reeves, Crystal and Roger Witt, and Kelly Cagle; grandchildren, Tara, Terri, Magaan, Lindsey, Terry Jr., Anna, Farrah, Jerry, Hillary, Erica, Cameron (Haley), Gavin, and Rylee; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lee Roy Cagle will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Green officiating.
