Mary Jane Hicks, age 84 of Bradford, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.

Mary was born in Darke County on May 14, 1938 to the (late) Roy & Echo (Fourman) Anderson.

A graduate of Arcanum High School, Class of 1956; was a licensed Beautician for 35 years and enjoyed her clients; was a member of Painter Creek Church of the Brethren; she enjoyed many things such as, gardening, crocheting, baking tasty treats, playing on her guitar, making bulletins for her church; she loved keeping her house nice and clean; sitting on her front porch with Ira; visiting with her family, and taking care of Ira until she was no longer able to; and she dearly loved her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Clara Fourman, Lou Besecker, and Alyce Orth-Shoop; and brother, Ray Anderson.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ira G. Hicks; her three sons, Ricky Hicks of Bradford, Randy & Gina Hicks of Bradford, Robby Hicks and fiancée, Pam Harmeson of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Amber & Jimmy Ladenthin, Rickanna & Nate Willis, Brian & Mindy Hicks, Randy Hicks Jr., Nelle & Andy Mack, Jared Hicks, and Macy; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bob & Jeanne Anderson of Arcanum; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service 12 Noon Tuesday with Pastor John Shelton officiating.

Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.
